The afternoon programme gives students the opportunity to practise their English and see something of York. In 2010 we shall be spending afternoons at York Minster, The National Railway Museum and The Castle Museum. The students will have a guided tour of the City including the famous medieval walls. Some afternoons will be spent in the City centre doing project work.

On the Saturdays  there are excursions to the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds and to Whitby.

During the course we run a variety of evening events including a visit to the cinema, ten-pin bowling and a farewell party.

These events are included in the tuition fees and the host families collect younger students from events.
