FCE Preparation Course leading to the December Examination - from £178.50 per week!

The Melton College FCE Preparation Course will run for three months (12 weeks) leading to the December test date. The course will be led by Tim Ashurst, Academic Manager at Melton College and a highly experienced Cambridge examiner. The exam will take place in the thirteenth week of the course.
The course will offer
- 22.5 hours tuition per week- 30 minute tutorial every fortnight with a qualified Cambridge examiner
- “Guided e-learning” account from registration until 12 weeks after departure
The course lasts for 12 weeks with the exam in week 13.
The tutorials, and access to the self-study and all other facilities at the College will, of course, continue through the exam week.
The course is aimed at Intermediate ~ Upper Intermediate students. Students should be at level B1 at the start of the course.
Shorter courses
Students are welcome to join the course for six weeks, starting on 25th October, or for 4 weeks starting on 8th November.
Fees
The 12-week course is discounted and costs just £178.50 per week for tuition!

The FCE Exam
The exam will be in week 13 of the course. The first 4 papers will be on Tuesday 7th December. The speaking exam (paper 5) will be on Friday 10th December.
Free exam week tuition
All students, whether coming for 4, 6 or 12 weeks, can join classes during the exam week (to take their mind off the exam!) free of charge. There will, however, be no FCE Preparation classes in the exam week.
Free “wind-down” week!
We know exams are stressful. For any student booking the course for 12 weeks we will be happy for them to stay at the College free of charge on our General English A course for the remaining week of the term! This week is from Monday 13th December ~ Friday 17th December. Accommodation will cost £110.25 for this week.
Conditions
Students must be B1 level to join the course. The course will only run with 4 or more participants. If the course does not run, students will be offered a full-day General English course instead but will still get the free exam, tutorials and, if they wish, the “wind-down” week. Alternatively, students will be offered a refund. Refunds are only available if the course does not run.

Special Offer for Older Students on the Summer Course
We are happy to offer students aged 20 and older a 10% tuition-fee reduction on our Summer Course!
A full-day Summer Course including activities and excursions for just £243 per week!
This offer is restricted to Summer Course tuition. Payment must be in full in advance and not in instalments.
Guided E-learning.
We really want all our students and staff to make the most of this excellent system both for self-study and for social planning whilst at the College! Remember, all our students get access to Guided e-learning for 3 months after their course.
And some changes...
Airport Shuttle Service for Adult Summer Students.
The Shuttle Service, included in the homestay accommodation fees for Gold Course students, will be available for adult (18 and older) students on the Summer Course on all change-over Saturdays! The cost will be £30 per journey. Remember, student under the age of 18 have the airport transfer service included in their accommodation fees.
Special Offers for 2010.
For any course starting before 1st March 2010, the long-term discount will apply from week 5! In other words, students staying for 5 weeks or more will receive a 15% discount on the tuition fee!
Extra Transfer Service for The Easter Course.
Every year the same thing happens. A parent from Germany rings to say that there is an excellent flight from Düsseldorf to Manchester but it lands very, very early in the morning. The return flight has the same problem. We have now been told the same thing about Hamburg! As an experiment, we have decided to add some flights outside our transfer service window at the beginning and end of the Easter Course. These will be:

Students booked on these flights will not be charged any additional fee for the taxi transfer.
